Dr. Kakish leads the Northeast Division for the Department of Academic Medicine, Cancer Centers and Children’s Hospitals for Merritt Hawkins / AMN healthcare.
With over 15 years of medical and social service in the healthcare industry, Jeffrey has the unique advantage of combining his medical education with his executive leadership MBA, with his talent of building relationships for healthcare institutions providing considered resources and referrals. Recognized for his unique experience, he joins the American College of Healthcare Trustees as our newest member and Senior Vice President of Academics & Administration.
Dr. Kakish is also currently a Lecturer at the Physician Executive MBA program at the Haslam School of Business, University of Tennessee Knoxville, a program in which he graduated Magna cum laude in December 2018. Previously he graduated from the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine. Jeffrey has been a respite provider for more than 15 years. He is licensed, currently owns and operates an assisted living program through the New York State Office of Mental Health in the Hudson Valley, NY.
Dr. Kakish has developed a specialized expertise in evaluating clients’ current business processes in consultation, he implements and designs a strategic partnerships to both effectively and efficiently fill their needs. From administration to department leaders to executive-suite & Dean’s office, Jeff provides inclusive and diverse insight to growth of organization and department specialties, salary trends, retention specifics, recruitment efforts, program development, lean processes and more. He has been successful in assisting clients with all phases of recruitment, strategic planning, compensations & distributions, contract analysis and negotiations, candidate sourcing, background checks & credentialing, and visa sponsorships.
Dr. Kakish is proficient in English, Spanish, and Arabic language and cultural traditions. He contributes much of his spare time to volunteer activities with the New York State Troopers PBA Surgeons group, Guest speaking for healthcare institutions, Treasurer board member for the American Youth Sports, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Hawkins in January 2007. She is currently Regional Vice President for East Coast Academics and is tasked with growing this new region from the ground up. Breanna has been a top performer since her start at MH; winning Rookie of the Year and subsequently becoming the first, and only, woman to win the company
